Since then, she’s put her super powers to work in a number of careers, from journalism to home sewing patterns, and in side gigs such as teaching sewing and illustrating instruction manuals. She designs and creates costumes for the Riverdale Children’s Theatre, a non-profit arts organization that draws New York City’s most talented kids and teens to the Bronx. Creative challenges are her bread and butter. Sewn in black ponte fabric, I used acrylics to handpaint the graphic illustration based on Emilio Pucci's "Sagittarius" dress. Other materials used include velvet, wire, and a costume brooch (for the bow), and polymer clay, rhinestones, and a pin back for the brooch.
